As a graduate of Digipen, Chantel is well-trained in the various phases of 2D and 3D film and game production, and though inclined towards 2D, is flexible in both the 2D and 3D medium.

​

She loves to create worlds and tell stories through character and environment designs, and hopes that everyone has fun looking through them!

CG Artist at Koei Tecmo Singapore

Mainly work on banner designs, UI related works, title design, icons, props, layout, illustrations and background art as part of the CG team. Worked on various Koei Tecmo titles.

Worked on various freelance projects out of full time work, from various companies and individuals. Mainly work on backgrounds for short films and games. Projects include "Mickey Go Local" .

Freelance Illustrator for Diceroll Studios

Game story art for "Umiro", a story-based puzzle game by indie game company, Diceroll Studios.

The game is available on the Apple Store, Googe Play Store and Steam.

Teaching Assistance for 2D Animated Short Project Module

Helped assist the lecturer in helping juniors with their 2D animated short film. Mainly in guiding them  with softwares, work flow and visual development, as well as giving feedback for their animation.

Illustrator at Ministry of Education (MOE)

Mainly illustrated for children picture books. Was also tasked to do some illustrations for website e-learning content and picture cards.

Internship at Robot Playground Media Pte Ltd

June to August 2015

 

Did visual development for a children educational app, then named "I-YO the Robot", adapting to their child-like illustration style. Also did some layout designs on Photoshop, as well as asset preparation in Adobe Animate for them to be animation-ready.

SIT Running Club Publicity Committee

As the only member in the running club publicity, I helped create posters to put up in various SIT campuses and advertised on social media platforms like Instagram whenever there were upcoming events, as well as tshirt designs for events that the club held.

Stop Motion Short Film for French Festival Voilah!

2016

 

Collaborated with French Director Vincent Escrive, Francois and Stefan on a stop motion short film for the French festival, Voilah! Also helped with advertising their mascot Cocoro, held stop motion workshops and went through a 3D Printing workshop.

PROJECT: AUGUST

January to August 2019

​

Pre-production and post-production artist, as well as working on the art direction and visual development for a cyberpunk-inspired 3D animated short, Project:August. Also did some modelling and texturing for the environment and tinkered with particle effects in Unreal Engine 4.

Trick no Treat

September 2017 to April 2018

​

Worked on the art direction and finalised the character designs for this 2D short film. Also did animation for some of the scenes and the short looping animation for the end credits.

Rite of Passage

January 2017 to April 2017

​

A team of 3 artists and 3 game programmers worked together to create a 2D top-down Bomberman-style game. I mainly worked as a background artist and was also tasked to work on the UI and assets/props creation.
